LITTLE LIONS
At Lismore Kyokushin Karate your children will learn self defence, increase their fitness, improve concentration and gain confidence, all while having fun and making new friends.
The Lismore Kyokushin Karate kids classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30 to 6.30 pm.
Ballina Kyokushin Karate runs Kids classes Monday and Wednesday 4.30 to 5.30 at the North Lakes Community Centre Ballina.
The classes are structured so that techniques are adapted for children, yet still taught correctly. Activities and games are used in training to help students remember combinations. Gradings can be attempted every three months for continued progression and in turn increased confidence.
Children are taught to only try out techniques in the dojo or in self defence situations and not in the playground. Kids are also encouraged to seek assistance from a trusted adult (such as a teacher) if in trouble in the first instance.
Kids classes are suited to children ages 5 and up.
